scientific cooperation

This visit aimed to:

       - conducting a general assessment of the scholarship training in GB (The scientific cooperation between Algeria and the United Kingdom has been strengthened since   the signature of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the British Council in 2013);

       - emphasizing the efforts of the Algerian Government to ensure the best conditions for the continuation of the program;

      - Highlighting the challenges that the Algerian researchers could face during their studies and finding solutions to these challenges.

With these aims in mind, two meetings took place on the 17 and 18 July 2019 at the Algerian Consulate. Around 190 students from various UK universities such as Bath, Cardiff, Exeter, Southampton, Northampton, Coventry, Warwick et Lancaster took part in this meeting. Followed another meeting at the University of Canterbury where members of the delegation and the Consulate met with the Vice-Chancellor and the pedagogical team responsible for the programme. These meetings reviewed the cooperation and conditions of admission of our researchers to this university.

Within this dynamic and warm context, our experts discussed various pedagogical and logistics aspects of the programme with our doctoral students. The members of the delegation have also ceased this opportunity to watch together with our funded students the final of the Africa Cup of Nations that ended with the victory of the national team.
