Communiqué for Algerian citizens living in Ireland on the “collection” of their biometric passport

So the citizens who have tracked their passport online and read that their passport or those of their children are ready for collection or have received a text message informing them that the passport is ready for collection are invited to send, by recorded mail, in the same envelope, the following documents:

  1. The original receipt of the application and that of each member of the family (spouse and children). The receipt is the document bearing the applicant’s photo, the number and date of the application and on which are affixed the stamp duty (proof that the passport fees have been paid). Please write the address and the phone number clearly and accurately on the back of the receipt;
  2. The original of the birth certificate 12S (necessary to record the national identification number that comes with the biometric passport). It will be sent back with the biometric passport;
  3. The expired passport. We advise that you keep a photocopy of it;
  4. Postal order of £10 as postage fees (recorded mail) + £55 per passport (passport fees if not paid when the application was lodged). Please note that postal orders in Euro are not accepted;

Once received the citizen’s request will be dealt with as quickly as possible, on the basis of “first come first served”.

As usual, the consulate relies on the cooperation and understanding of each citizen.

It is important to recall and stress that any missing document from the list above or insufficient postage fees will delay the processing of the request.
